By using Fermatera ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The service
Fermatera is a retirement planning calculator that projects your savings, income and spending from information you enter yourself. It is provided free of charge by an independent developer, and it may be changed, suspended or discontinued at any time.
Not financial advice
Fermatera is an educational planning tool. Its projections, success rates, recommendations, AI-written summaries and answers are estimates based on your inputs and on assumptions about returns, inflation, taxes, contribution limits and Social Security rules that may be simplified, out of date or wrong for your situation. They are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and no fiduciary or advisory relationship is created by using the app. Past and assumed returns don't guarantee future results. Before making financial decisions, check the figures yourself and consider consulting a qualified professional.
Your account
You sign in with your Google account and are responsible for activity under it. Use the app only for your own planning and your household's, and don't attempt to access other people's data, overload the service or interfere with it.
Your data
You own the information you enter. How we collect, use and protect it is described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your plans, or your whole account and all of its data, at any time in Settings.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including that its calculations are accurate or complete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fermatera and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any financial loss, arising from your use of the app or from decisions made using it.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
